Dear Westfalen Horse
Owners, Breeders and Admirers,
We are pleased to announce that Westfalen horses will have a new active
organization to support and promote them in the United States. The
Westfalen Warmblood Horse Association of America is officially disbanded,
but will have a new beginning under the leadership of Jayne Ayers, Dorie
Vlatten-Schmitz and Barbara Putnam, with the approval of the Westfalen
Pferdestammbuch in Germany. The name of the new organization is the
Westfalen Horse Association. Our goals are to provide information and
recognition for you and your Westfalen horses.
Through close association with the German office we will provide a
stallion and membership directory, coordination of inspections and
year-end awards for the USDF All-Breed participants. We plan to have a
quarterly newsletter for our members. We will also act as a resource to
help you find answers to questions on breeding and the registration of
horses.
We are hoping that the new format will operate as more of a club, in that
our members will have the ability to volunteer and participate in various
functions of the organization. You can make a difference in the success of
this venture! Please show your support by joining us in the
re-establishment of this association. We feel it is well worth the effort.
Sincerely,
Barbara Putnam, Membership & Dues, phone 319-626-2516
Jayne Ayers, Registry & Inspections, phone 414-965-2066
Dorie Vlatten-Schmitz, General Information & Mare Testing, phone
480-963-1310
